StolenCarReports - the "Nation's Neighborhood Watch for Stolen Vehicles" works in two primary ways:

2-	Receive Help Locating Your Stolen Vehicle

Become a "Tipper" / Earn Rewards
You can earn rewards by helping law enforcement officials locate vehicles that have been reported stolen.

Register as a member of StolenCarReports, and receive information about vehicles that have been stolen in your community. Use this information to look out for stolen vehicles and report any information you have to the police. By providing valuable information, you may be eligible for rewards from StolenCarReports.

As a registered member, you have the option to receive "Alerts" about stolen vehicles:

via email or wireless device
at regularly scheduled times, or in real time
for multiple areas or regions
according to your preferences

Receive Help Locating Your Stolen Vehicle
If your car, truck, motorcycle, or other vehicle has been stolen, StolenCarReports works as a resource to increase the chances of recovering your vehicle.

After you report the theft to the police and to your insurance company, fill out the StolenCarReports online registration form, and let our audience of "Tippers" help locate your stolen vehicle.

StolenCarReports will send out "alerts" (information about your stolen vehicle) to people in the vicinity of where the theft occurred and make the information available online, thereby improving the chances that your stolen vehicle will be located and recovered by police.

IMPORTANT: As a registered participant of StolenCarReports, YOU AGREE NOT TO PURSUE A SUSPECTED STOLEN VEHICLE, OR INTERFERE IN ANY WAY WITH THE EFFORTS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS. Failure to abide by this rule may put your safety at risk, and will make you ineligible to participate in the StolenCarReports program.
